The Youth Empowerment Strategies for Success – Independent Living Program (YESS-ILP) is a supportive and empowering program designed specifically for current and former foster youth at 51��. The goal of the program is to equip students with the tools to navigate college life, build independence, and achieve personal and academic success.

Creating a safe, informed campus community is a shared responsibility. The new SOCCCD Safe app gives 51�� (IVC) students, faculty and staff immediate access to important campus safety resources and emergency communications—all from their mobile device.

Available at no cost for Apple and Android devices, SOCCCD Safe is the official safety app for IVC, Saddleback College and the Advanced Technology & Education Park (ATEP).

After downloading the app and registering with an IVC email address, users can:

Receive emergency alerts and important campus notifications
Contact Campus Police quickly during an emergency
Report safety concerns or submit confidential tips
Use Friend Walk to allow a trusted contact to monitor your walk to your destination
Access emergency procedures and preparedness information
View campus maps, including Automated External Defibrillator (AED) locations
Find important campus safety contacts and resources

The app is free for all IVC students, faculty and staff. Download SOCCCD Safe today from the Apple App Store or Google Play and register using your IVC email address.

New Campus Map and Signage

Beginning in Fall 2026, IVC will introduce new campus signage and an updated campus map to make it easier to find your way around campus. These updates are part of IVC’s Student-Focused Signage Project and are designed to create a clearer, more welcoming campus experience for students, employees, and visitors.

What's Changing

IVC buildings are now organized into four campus quads:
North | South | East | West

Buildings will use a new letter and number system based on their location. For example, buildings in the North Quad begin with “N,” such as N1 or N3.

Each quad will also be color-coded for easier navigation:

Green: North Quad
Orange: East Quad
Teal: South Quad
Pink: West Quad

How to Find a Building

Need help matching a building code to its name?

Check the “Buildings” section at the bottom of the Campus Map. It lists each building’s letter and number along with its name. For example: N1: Liberal Arts

Timeline

New building signage will be installed over Summer 2026 and completed by the start of the Fall 2026 semester.

You will see these new building codes listed in the Fall 2026 Class Schedule, so be sure to check the updated campus map before heading to class.

Welcome to IVC Inspire 2035, 51�� (IVC)'s roadmap for the future.

This webpage represents the culmination of a yearlong, campus wide effort to define who we are, what we value, and where we aspire to go as a college. Building on the South Orange County Community College District's ten-month strategic planning process, members of our college community engaged in meaningful dialogue through shared governance councils, committees, town halls, and campus conversations to shape the priorities, goals, values, vision, and mission that will guide IVC through 2035.

The result is a strategic framework grounded in the collective voices, expertise, and aspirations of our students, employees, and community partners. Together, we established six institutional priorities and twelve college-wide goals, affirmed a shared set of institutional values, and developed a new vision and mission that reflect our commitment to student success, equity, innovation, belonging, and community impact.

At the heart of Inspire 2035 is a simple but powerful understanding:

Our Values describe how we act.
Our Vision defines where we are going.
Our Mission explains why we exist.

Together, these statements provide a shared foundation for decision making, planning, and continuous improvement across the college. They challenge us to align our daily work with our highest aspirations while remaining responsive to the evolving needs of our students and community.

Inspire 2035 is more than a plan. It is a commitment to building a student centered, future ready college that embodies excellence in education, cultivates care and belonging, inspires innovation, and advances equitable opportunities for all.
