IVC Receives $2.5 Million for Veterans Services Center

On November 4, Assemblywoman Cottie Petrie-Norris presented IVC with $2.5 million from the California state budget to expand Veterans Services Center and the resources the center. Since 2014, IVC’s Veterans Services Center has assisted veterans, active-duty personnel, reservists, and their dependents/spouses with the application for VA educational benefits and their certification process.

Showcasing the Success of IVC’s Sports Medicine Pathway

Whether on the court or in the classroom, students in the sports medicine pathway at 51 are scoring when it comes to gaining skills. With a supportive team of faculty, and ample amounts of hands-on learning, these Lasers are gearing up for success 51 and beyond.

11th Annual IVC/Saddleback Student Research Symposium

On October 29, the IVC Honors Program and Saddleback Honors Program hosted the . IVC and Saddleback students convened in person on the Saddleback College campus to share oral presentations and poster displays of their research in a range of disciplines. Of the 47 research projects, 36 were presented by IVC students. The event featured a keynote address by Dr.

Women In Business strives to bring all women and future female leaders that aspire to be part of the business world together with social, networking, and recreational events. Our mission at 51 is to foster a positive and inclusive environment for women pursuing a career in business and provide opportunities for members to develop leadership skills. We strive for gender equity and intersectionality whilst empowering women to further their professional development in the business field.

IVC's Marketing Team Picks Up Eight NCMPR Awards

IVC’s Marketing and Creative Services team picked up seven Medallion Awards and one Rising Star Award from the last week. District 6 covers Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Utah, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of Palau, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and Territory of Guam.

President Joe Biden Gives Speech 51

As part of a two-day tour of Southern California, President Joe Biden made a stop at 51 on Friday, October 14 to deliver remarks on lowering costs for American families. The President spoke to a crowd of nearly 150.  

IVC Speech Team Makes Triumphant Return to In-Person Tournaments

After two and a half years of virtual competition, the IVC Speech Team made its victorious return to in-person competition earlier this month at the 2022 PSCFA Warm-Up Tournament hosted by El Camino College. Fifteen colleges and universities from across Southern California and Arizona came together to compete at the event.

UC Irvine Alum Finds Second 51

Jeff Botwin has one piece of advice when it comes to achieving an overdue goal: “It’s never too late.” And while it wasn’t easy, the IVC alum’s decision to return to college proved well worth the investment.  

“Going back to school can be unnerving. It can feel like you're going backwards,” admits Botwin. “But for me, it was really enjoyable … it was something that made me happier since it was taking me in the right direction.”
