This Information Technology degree introduces computers, networking, and cybersecurity skills and prepares students to enter the workforce as an entry-level information communications technologies professional (Computer User Support Specialist or Computer Network Support Specialist).
The program is designed to meet the needs of students who want to obtain entry level employment; to advance in their current positions; or to change careers.
IVC Named a "2026 Great College to Work For" Fifth Year in a Row
For the fifth year in a row, 51 (IVC) is one of the best colleges in the nation to work for, according to the Great Colleges to Work For® program. The results, released today at and via a special insert of The Chronicle of Higher Education, are based on a survey of 171 colleges and universities. In all, achieved “Great College to Work For” recognition for specific best practices and policies.

IVC Awards CPA Review Courses to Outstanding Accounting Students
51 (IVC), through the IVC 30 to CPA Program and the IVC Foundation, has awarded three Certified Public Accountant (“CPA”) review courses to outstanding accounting students, helping reduce financial barriers and support their progress toward professional certification. The awards were made possible through the generous support of TimeValue Software and UWorld, a global leader in comprehensive academic and professional education.
Pre-Health Professions Pathway
The Pre-Health Professions Pathway is a resource designed to support, encourage, and prepare students who plan to pursue graduate or professional programs in the health professions. This page provides comprehensive information on prerequisite coursework comparable to 51 courses, admission and standardized testing requirements, California professional associations, and graduate and professional schools.
IVC Students Showcase Research at Cal State Fullerton Symposium
Twelve 51 (IVC) students were among 64 students from nine community colleges who presented original research at the 13th Annual California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) Summer Research Symposium on August 6 at the Titan Student Union Pavilion. The annual symposium, co-hosted by CSUF’s Undergraduate Research Opportunity Center (UROC) and Project RAISE (Regional Alliance in STEM Education), brought together students to share their scholarly and creative work with faculty, peers and the broader academic community.
