Irvine Valley battled, but ended up short at a tough Santiago Canyon squad, 3-0, in an Orange Empire Conference match Friday. IVC's record went to 6-2-1 overall and 1-1 in the OEC. The Lasers host Fullerton Tuesday.

Irvine Valley went on the road to Santa Ana on Tuesday to open Orange Empire Conference play. The defending conference champion Lasers played well, but the Dons were even better and came away with a 4-2 victory.

Irvine Valley, which captured its second straight California Community Athletic Association state championship last spring, was honored by the South Orange County College District Board of Trustees on Monday evening.

Irvine Valley, the defending Orange Empire Conference champion, starts conference play on Tuesday at Santa Ana. The Lasers have a record of 3-3-1 overall under coach Conor Ward and return several top players from last year.

Irvine Valley plays one of its best matches of the season, going on the road to tie No. 7 nationally ranked NJCAA program Arizona Western in Yuma on Thursday. IVC's Jonathan Minney converted in the 68th minute for the draw.

Irvine Valley improved its record to 4-3 overall and 2-0 in the Orange Empire Conference with a 19, 25, 12 victory over Santa Ana at home on Friday. IVC rallied to win each of the first two sets and hit .313 as a team on the night.

After starting the 2026 season winning its first four contests, Irvine Valley went on the road and fell at East Los Angeles, 2-0. The defeat pushed IVC's record to 4-1 overall. The Lasers host LA Valley next Tuesday at 3 p.m.

Irvine Valley goes on the road to start conference play Wednesday at Fullerton and comes away with a 25-13, 25-15, 25-18 victory. The Lasers hit .370 on the night as a team and are led by sophomore Jazlynn Fu with 11 kills.

Irvine Valley enters Orange Empire Conference play with a record of 2-3. The Lasers have started with a tough pre-conference schedule, facing two teams ranked in the state so far under second-year coach Kari Hemmerling.

Ford Twitty gets the scoring started with a great goal, Jonathan Minney finishes twice and Logan Yapelli and Tommy Edwards each contribute goals as Irvine Valley goes on the road and defeats Palomar, 5-0, Tuesday afternoon.

Irvine Valley's women's soccer team stayed unbeaten with a 1-0 win at West LA on the road Friday. IVC has out-scored opponents, 11-4, so far this year. The Lasers, under Tom Lancaster, play again next Friday at East LA.

After two tough losses against top-ranked teams in the Hartnell Tournament, Irvine Valley went on the road Friday and beat San Diego Mesa, 4-0. Jonathan Minney, Nathaniel Kim, Andrew Roldan and Ford Twitty scored goals.

Irvine Valley starts its next season in the spring with a pair of scrimmages against Mt. SAC before officially beginning the season with back-to-back home games Jan. 16-17 against LA Pierce and Modesto. Both at 1 p.m.

Aaron Serrato, who played with Irvine Valley in the 2024 and 2025 seasons has signed with Westcliff University in Irvine. Serrato played in 37 games for IVC in 2025 and batted .267 with two home runs, 11 doubles and 23 RBI.

Irvine Valley improves its record to 2-1 overall with four-set victories over Mt. SAC on the road last Wednesday and MiraCosta on Friday at home. The Lasers come in at No. 17 in this week's 3C2AWVCA State Top 25 rankings.

Irvine Valley defeats MiraCosta in four close sets. It drops the first set, 20-25, but rallies to win the next three, 25-17, 25-21, 25-19. Hailey Tuttle (12 kills) and Cassidy Lister (11 kills, hitting .409 with 14 digs and two aces for IVC.
